With banks having to open their APIs so their customers can access information, open banking stands to benefit ends users in addition to fostering innovation and competition between traditional banks and nonbanks, harking a new financial services ecosystem. Marc will be focusing on the influencing factors and customer demands surrounding the likely uptake of open banking over time, strategic options for banks as well as hot use cases.
Marc Baxter is the UK lead for commercialising Open Banking/PSD2 within HSBC’s Retail Bank. He has been responsible for developing their Open Banking commercial strategy and now heads a delivery team to realise these opportunities.
Marc has more than 12 years experience in Retail Banking and Payments focusing on leading commercial teams and delivering strategic change. He has worked in the UK and internationally at two leading FTSE 100 companies and holds an MBA from London Business School.
